New App! KDIGO Mobile for Clinical Guidelines for Kidney Disease Care
We are excited to announce the availability of a new mobile app built on the Visible Health platform - KDIGO Mobile. Created in partnership with Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO), an international clinical organization based in Brussels, Belgium, KDIGO Mobile brings evidence-based clinical guidelines for kidney disease care to the iPad.
This app puts a wealth of kidney disease information conveniently in the hands of everyone around the world. Guidelines published as books are an important factor in their implementation; but, this electronic, instantly searchable tool will make them much easier to reference as clinicians make decisions.
— John Davis, KDIGO CEO
KDIGO Mobile is our first non-drawMD app, built using our core component library and Visible Health Connect cloud collaboration service, with the initial creation spanning two months from design to app store release. The app includes a number of great features to help kidney care specialists bring clinical evidence into clinical practice:
- Evidence-based clinical guidelines for Acute Kidney Injury, Anemia, Blood Pressure, Chronic Kidney Disease, CKD-Mineral Bone Disorder, Glomerulonephritis, Hepatitis C, Lipid Management and Transplant
- Full text searching, highlighting, bookmarks and notes
- Resource center with materials related to the guidelines, including confrence reports, position papers and more
- Discussion forum moderated by KDIGO volunteers and staff.
We are very proud of our relationship with KDIGO and our role in encouraging widespread adoption of the KDIGO guidelines by nephrologists around the world. We are looking forward to the continued evolution of the app and our platform in the months and years to come.
